Attorney Stephanie Gitlin
West Hartford, CT, August 26, 2013 — Attorney Stephanie M. Gitlin has joined Pierce LLC as Counsel. She brings experience in the areas of healthcare cost containment and False Claim Act litigation, commercial litigation and other complex civil matters.
Prior to joining Pierce LLC Atty. Gitlin practiced with Seiger Gfeller & Laurie LLP and Shipman & Goodwin LLP. Her experience includes representing national and regional healthcare third party payers and property/casualty insurers in healthcare provider overpayment cost containment matters nationwide, as well as representing, Whistleblowers in both federal and state False Claim Act cases. She has represented clients in a variety of other commercial and civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts. These include contract disputes, franchise issues, and intellectual property matters.
An active member of the community, Atty. Gitlin co-founded Deeds for Needs™, a non-profit organization that assists individuals and families in need in the community. She is an officer and director of the organization. She is also a former board member of Kingswood Oxford Parent Teacher Organization and Jewish Family Services.
Atty. Gitlin received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School cum laude and her B.A. from Cornell University.
