grubcrawllogo2014Bloomfield will be rocking on May 31 from 1:00 to 5:00 with food, beer and music at the town’s 1st Annual Grub Crawl. The event kicks off a month of dining discounts at the town’s various restaurants and the chance to win prizes for visiting them.

The Kris Jenson/Jaimoe & Friends Band will provide the musical backdrop on the Bloomfield Town green for four hours of dining and tasting.  Thirteen of the town’s dining establishments and two of its signature craft breweries will offer samples.  Participants can taste cuisine from Bloomfield Village Pizza, Carbone’s Kitchen, Concetta’s, Ginza, Little Mark’s Big BBQ, Lox, Stock & Bagels, Park Ave Pizza, Papa John’s, Republic, Sake Grill, Tapas, TCBY and Thai Palace.    Back East Brewing Company and Thomas Hooker Brewing Company will offer samples to participants with IDs proving they are over 21.

Included with admission to Bloomfield Grub Crawl is a passport that gives discounts at participating local restaurants during the month of June.  After dining at a minimum of five of these restaurants, patrons will submit their passports for a chance to win a variety of prizes.  Admission costs are $25 if purchased through the Bloomfield Chamber’s website and $30 at the door.  Children 12 and under are $15.

The Grub Crawl is one of many year-round events sponsored by the Bloomfield Chamber as they champion Bloomfield businesses.  These have included their Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner, Business After Hours, the Chamber Golf Outing, scholarships for local students and the Bloomfield Business Expo.
