BLOOMFIELD, August 20, 2013- Duncaster Retirement Community will host a new series called “The Art and Science of Graceful Aging.”  It will be presented by Hartford HealthCare.  The series will feature notable physicians leading discussions on improving health and engaging in life.  Topics will include brain health, orthopedics and aging, sexuality and exercise, and maintaining optimal heart health.

Sessions will be September 24, October 24, November 14, and January 23.  All sessions will be held at Duncaster, 40 Loeffler Rd, Bloomfield at 3:00 p.m.  They are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.

The September 24 session will cover brain health. It will be presented by Rohini Becherl, MD. Dr. Becherl’s practice and specialty are geriatric medicine.  Dr. Becherl is a graduate of Lady Hardinge Medical School, India –MBBS. She conducted her residency at John F. Kennedy Medical Center with a focus on family medicine. Dr. Becherl completed her fellowship at University of Connecticut, School of Medicine with a focus on geriatrics. Dr. Becherl currently practices at the Duncaster Adult Primary Care Center, which is operated and staffed by Hartford HealthCare Medical Group.

Future sessions will be led by Robert Dicks, MD, FACP, Anthony LaSala, MD, and Courtland Lewis, MD.
