4:00 pm – estimated (Depending upon conclusion of hearing.  Get in touch with Media Contact to schedule)

750 National Press Club Building

529 14th Street, NW

Washington, DC

Witness: Chris MacKrell, Immediate Past President and Board Member of the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association and President of Custom Courier Solutions

Independent contractors are the heart of this country’s supply chain and without them businesses that provide customized delivery solutions would be unable to meet their customers’ needs.

That’s the message that Chris MacKrell, one of three witnesses before Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee on Employee and Workplace Safety, will deliver on Nov. 12. MacKrell will be the only witness for the Republican minority who will testify.

MacKrell is President and COO of Custom Courier Solutions which is a customized logistics and delivery company based in New York with operations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast.  He is also a past president of the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association, which represents 425 companies that are an integral part of the American economy by providing transportation of packages, medical supplies, bulk materials and documents.  Independent contracts allow these companies to maintain their critical role in the delivery supply chain providing less than 24 hour, just-in-time delivery of packages in response to customer demand.
